Job Description

Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting elementary students with significant needs in a self-contained classroom. This full-time assignment runs through June 16, 2027, and offers a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours weekly—perfect for a dedicated speech-language pathologist ready to make a difference in a dynamic educational environment.

Bring your expertise to a caseload of 50 students, many with advanced AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) requirements, and collaborate closely with educational teams to enhance student outcomes. This role requires onsite presence—teletherapy is not an option, ensuring hands-on engagement as you support student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid licensure to practice in California
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in school-based settings
  • Demonstrated experience with AAC devices and interventions for students with complex communication needs
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom is preferred
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language and AAC assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for a diverse caseload
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, with a focus on AAC strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student development
  • Document and monitor student progress towards IEP goals
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and families on AAC best practices

This role provides the chance to be an integral part of a passionate school community, shaping meaningful communication outcomes for young learners. If you meet the qualifications and are eager to contribute your skills onsite, submit your licensure, resume, and references today for immediate consideration. Take the next step in your professional journey and make a difference where it’s needed most!

Compensation for this position ranges from $54.00 to $73.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
