Job Description

Job DescriptionAssociate Attorney - Real Estate & Civil Litigation

Burbank, CA | Hybrid

Step into real estate and civil litigation that actually moves the needle

You’re a litigator who wants more than paper-pushing. You want your cases to be real, your clients to know your name, and your strategy to decide outcomes.

Join a small, focused practice where real estate, construction, and landlord/tenant disputes are front and center. You’ll actually get into court, draft the key motions, and negotiate resolutions that matter to businesses and property owners.

This is hands-on lawyering, not just back-office briefing.

If you know how to own a file from intake through resolution and you’re ready to sharpen that skill set in California real estate and related disputes, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be in the mix on a steady flow of civil matters with a strong real estate flavor, including:

  • Real estate disputes
  • Construction-related matters
  • Landlord/tenant conflicts
  • California civil litigation in trial courts
  • Negotiated settlements and dispute resolution
  • Law and motion practice
  • Regulatory and compliance-driven matters

You’ll apply California civil procedure daily as you drive matters forward through motion work, discovery strategy, and negotiation.

This is where your drafting, advocacy, and judgment directly shape outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Representing clients in court proceedings and hearings
  • Appearing before government agencies on behalf of clients
  • Preparing and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Handling law and motion practice from research through argument
  • Advising clients on real estate, construction, and landlord/tenant issues
  • Negotiating and finalizing settlements in civil disputes
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legal standards and regulations
  • Conducting legal research to support litigation strategy
  • Managing administrative and management functions related to active matters
  • Building and maintaining strong rapport and trust with clients

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed attorney with active Bar admission (required)
  • Experience in real estate, construction, and/or landlord/tenant law preferred
  • Experience with California civil procedure and civil litigation practice
  • Approximately 5 years of legal drafting experience preferred
  • Approximately 5 years of legal research experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with clients
  • Real estate broker’s license a plus

Why This Opportunity?

You’re not a cog here; you’re an advocate whose work is visible, measurable, and appreciated. You’ll see the direct impact of your strategy on clients’ properties, projects, and livelihoods.

Compensation is dependent upon experience, with additional upside through bonus and commission pay for the value you help create.

On top of that, you’ll receive health insurance, paid time off, and a referral program, with flexible work-from-home options to support how you work best.

Important Requirements

Active Bar license required

If you’re ready to put your litigation skills to work on complex, real-world real estate and civil disputes, let’s get a conversation started.
