Manager of Programs – Direct Hire ($90k-$100k)

Carlsbad, CA area

The Manager of Programs is responsible for providing leadership to the program managers, planning, coordinating, and directing box build activities with Clients and Personnel during the quote phase until the on-going production activities are complete.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS

o Program Management of Box Build quote packages working directly with the client to provide quotes, resolve issues and answer questions.

o Breakout BOM, organize and send out material and labor quotes to the appropriate entity. Prepare information for appropriate General Manager review for final pricing.

o Conduct or supervise the timely and accurate data entry into the ERP system of Bills of Materials/ MI’s, Sales Order and Work Order release.

o Coordinate and conduct project meetings with management and appropriate team members to determine engineering feasibility, equipment needed, action items and schedules for materials and production implementation. Keep meeting minutes.

o Work with the material department in supplier selection, and component procurement.

o Assist in the development of new business for the company

o Quote cable and wire assemblies and other sub-assemblies as needed

Education:
Associate’s degree in business or technical discipline or combination of education and directly related experience.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years in purchasing and program/project management
• 10 years + program management experience working in a contract manufacturing or EMS environment.
• 10 years + experience supervising others.

Skills/Characteristics Necessary to Perform Essential Functions:

• Read and understand component drawings, schematics procedures and specifications, with an understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP System
• Excellent leadership skills.
