Role Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and executive leadership team, helping shape, scale and execute Immuneering’s people strategy, processes and programs. This role is responsible for aligning talent strategy, organizational design, performance management and employee experience with corporate objectives in a publicly traded, clinical-stage biotech environment.

This role operates as a HR leader across the enterprise, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution to build scalable infrastructure that supports long-term business performance and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership and partnership within the human resources team and cross-functional engagement with all departments
  • Talent acquisition and recruiting
  • HR compliance, policy, and risk management
  • HRIS and HR technology optimization
  • Career development, corporate-wide learning initiatives and performance management
  • Employee relations
  • Culture and community leadership, mentorship, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer on organizational design, succession planning, and workforce planning to support evolving business needs and clinical advancement

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive human resources experience, including senior level strategic responsibility
  • Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience required
  • Demonstrated experience building and operating HR programs in a regulated environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices
  • Ability to operate independently while remaining hands-on
  • Experience partnering closely with executive leadership and diverse employee populations
  • Experience in a clinical stage and/or publicly traded biotech company
  • Prior utilization of Lattice, ADP and HRIS technology highly preferred
  • Must have prior experience supporting a US-wide based work force and have specific experience working in CA. Knowledge of CA employment laws required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) a plus.
