Raincross Medical Group is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Medical Assistant to join Dr. Kunaseelan's department. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both front and back office operations and committed to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients in a courteous, professional, and culturally sensitive manner
- Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish
- Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and manage patient check-in and check-out activities
- Verify and update patient information, insurance details, and contact records
- Answer multi-line phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
- Assist with collecting co-pays, processing forms, and maintaining accurate front office records
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed during clinical procedures
- Take vital signs, record patient histories, and document information in the electronic medical record
- Support clinical workflow by preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Follow established protocols for patient privacy, safety, infection control, and confidentiality
- Coordinate referrals, lab requests, and other administrative or clinical tasks as assigned
- Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient daily operations
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare environment preferred
- Knowledge of both front office and back office medical assistant duties preferred
- Familiarity with scheduling systems, electronic medical records, and basic office technology
- Ability to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training preferred
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain may be required
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a bilingual patient care setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and office workflows
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
