We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including automatic and process controls, switchboards, control panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic control systems. The position requires following NEC Codes and protocols, planning and laying out wiring for complex circuits, and setting up and maintaining secondary distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Follow NEC Codes/Protocols.
- Plan and lay out wiring for complex circuits and equipment installations.
- Set up and maintain secondary distribution systems, including load balancing and power distribution.
- Diagnose electrical issues, replace or repair defective components, and perform testing and system adjustments.
- Perform general maintenance and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Rebuild and upgrade machinery and equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience with maintenance electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of motor control and electrical installation assembly.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and controls design.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with process instrumentation such as thermocouples, RITDs, and proximity sensors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- California DIR Industrial Electrician Certification.
- ISA CCST - Certified Control Systems Technician.
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E training.
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downey, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
