Studio Schicketanz, an award-winning architecture and design firm, is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Licensed Architect for a leadership position in the Carmel Studio.

- The Senior Architect is a project leadership position with responsibility for architectural design and overall project coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Architects and Designers.
- Provide project leadership from design through construction.
- Oversee architectural design, documentation, and coordinate technical development and production with the Bangalore Studio.
- Develop in-house design proposals and lead client presentations.
- Establish project priorities, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance and deadlines.
- Coordinate with outside consultants on project-related work, proposals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with Contractors on project management, bidding, construction administration, and payment applications.
- Coordinate with the Design Team and Permit Processor as part of in-house project management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients throughout the project.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Conduct periodic site visits and help resolve field conditions and construction issues.
- Manage project documentation, online and paper filing, and office standards.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
Leadership Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and mentor Architects and Designers and foster a collaborative, productive team environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong ability to delegate responsibilities, establish expectations, and hold team members accountable for deadlines and quality.
- Experience serving as the primary architectural lead and point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong client-management skills with the ability to confidently lead presentations, meetings, and project discussions.
- Ability to make sound design and technical decisions and provide clear direction to project teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve project challenges in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction while maintaining design quality, schedule, and budget.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a project leadership or senior architectural role preferred.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- California architectural license required.
- Proficiency in Revit required.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred.
- LEED certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, technical, and graphic skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of residential architectural design, documentation, and construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative, and highly collaborative environment.
