Job Title: Fabrication (Fab) Technician
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Payrate: $20/Hr to $25/hr on W2

- A fabrication technician (often called a fab technician) is a skilled tradesperson who designs, assembles, and finishes metal or composite parts using tools, machinery, and fabrication techniques, often in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial settings.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Fabrication technicians work in shops or production facilities to:
- Cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal or composite materials
- Use precision hand tools, mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and quality standards.
- Perform fit-up, joint preparation, and finishing work.
- Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment.
- Ensure safety compliance and quality control.
Skills and Qualifications:
Common requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED; some roles require vocational training or certifications
- Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, stick), tube fabrication, and sheet metal work
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and quality standards.
- Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.
