Role Description The Sales Estimator is a full-time, remote role responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire protection projects. On a day-to-day basis, this role reviews project plans, specifications, and bid documents, identifies labor, material, and equipment requirements, and develops detailed proposals for customers and contractors. The Sales Estimator collaborates closely with the sales team, project managers, and technical staff to clarify scope, address customer questions, and support contract negotiations. Additional responsibilities include tracking bid opportunities, maintaining pricing records, updating estimation tools, and contributing to sales forecasts and pipeline reports. The role requires consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders, as well as adherence to company standards and applicable codes.\n
Qualifications

  • Experience in cost estimating, bid preparation, and proposal development for construction, mechanical, or fire protection projects.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.

  • Proficiency with estimation and project management software, spreadsheets, and related digital tools.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present estimates and clarify technical details to non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with fire protection systems, building codes, and industry standards is highly beneficial.
  • \n

  • Prior experience in sales support, customer relations, or account management in a technical or construction-related field is a plus.
  • \n

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
