With a strong backlog of secured work and continued investment in major projects, the company is actively expanding its preconstruction team in Southern California.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator seeking long-term stability, career progression, and exposure to some of the largest and most technically challenging electrical projects in the region, including major data center developments and large-scale commercial construction projects.

Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a growing preconstruction team in San Diego.

\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate estimates for complex electrical construction projects while collaborating closely with operations, project management, executives, vendors, and clients.

\n

This position is ideal for an estimator who enjoys working on large-scale projects and wants to be part of a well-established contractor with the resources, reputation, and project pipeline to support long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid electrical estimates
  • \n

  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements
  • \n

  • Perform complete quantity takeoffs and labor calculations
  • \n

  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
  • \n

  • Develop competitive project pricing strategies
  • \n

  • Analyze project risks, opportunities, and cost impacts
  • \n

  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations
  • \n

  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
  • \n

  • Support value engineering initiatives and alternative design solutions
  • \n

  • Assist in developing estimating standards, processes, and best practices
  • \n

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 5+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor
  • \n

  • Proven experience estimating electrical construction projects valued at $25M+
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of commercial, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects
  • \n

  • Experience producing both conceptual and detailed estimates
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Accubid, Bluebeam, ConEst, McCormick, or similar estimating software
  • \n

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • \n

  • Stable employment history with demonstrated career progression
  • \n

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced preconstruction environment
  • \n
