House Manager & Guest Concierge - Luxury Vacation Homes, Palm Springs
Job Description
Job Description
We are seeking a House Manager to oversee a small portfolio of luxury private vacation homes in Palm Springs. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role for someone who takes real ownership: you are our eyes and ears on the ground, and the first point of contact for our guests and for us.
The heart of this role is availability and responsiveness. You will keep watch over the homes and our guests throughout every stay using our camera, noise-monitoring and security systems, respond to guests and to the owners promptly, and be on call to handle anything urgent, including evenings and weekends. Most nights are quiet, but when something comes up, you are the person who handles it quickly, calmly and professionally. Our standard is simple: every guest leaves a five-star review, and the city never has a reason to visit.
You will welcome guests in person and walk them through each home, conduct thorough checkout inspections and document anything missing or damaged, and carry out weekly walkthroughs and monthly systems checks. You will oversee our housekeeping, pool and garden vendors and hold them to a high standard, keep every home fully stocked and guest-ready, handle light repairs yourself, and coordinate trades for larger work.
The ideal candidate is polished, warm and composed with guests, discreet with private information, organized, handy, and comfortable working from a smartphone with apps, photos and checklists. You live within about 15 minutes of central Palm Springs and have a reliable vehicle. Experience in luxury hospitality, hotels, vacation rentals or estate management is strongly preferred. The owners are based abroad, so most day-to-day communication happens by message.
This is a full-time, salaried position at $75,000–$90,000 depending on experience, with paid sick leave and vacation. There are no fixed shifts; the schedule follows the bookings.
