Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 18:00)
Weekly for 40 hours : $3,021 weekly ($33/hr w2 + $1,701 week stipend)
Start Date: 09/07/2026
Job Type: 13-week Contract
Position Overview:
\n A Mammography Technologist is a specialized radiologic technologist who performs mammographic imaging procedures to help detect and diagnose breast diseases, including breast cancer. They work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • \n

  • Prepare patients for mammography exams and explain the procedure clearly.
  • \n

  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality breast images.
  • \n

  • Operate mammography and digital imaging equipment safely and effectively.
  • \n

  • Ensure images meet quality standards before submitting them for interpretation.
  • \n

  • Assist radiologists with diagnostic procedures, including breast biopsies, when required.
  • \n

  • Review patient history and relevant clinical information before examinations.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • \n

  • Follow radiation safety standards and minimize patient radiation exposure.
  • \n

  • Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • \n

  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • \n

  • Provide compassionate care and emotional support, especially for patients undergoing diagnostic evaluations.
  • \n

  • Follow infection-control procedures and all facility policies.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • \n

Qualifications:

  • Years of experience: 1 yr
  • \n

  • ARRT R, BLS
  • \n

  • CA state license: ye
  • \n

  • Will allow 4x10 block scheduling for the right candidate but must work Saturdays
  • \n
