Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a healthcare organization in Reseda, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll processes in a mid-sized employee population. The selected candidate will help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and deduction requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Administer complete payroll processing from data review through final submission for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees.
• Verify timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and employee payroll records to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
• Handle payroll-related adjustments such as garnishments, withholdings, and other mandated deductions in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Review payroll discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve errors before payroll is finalized.
• Maintain organized payroll documentation and support audit readiness through accurate recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect employee pay data, status changes, and other information that affects payroll outcomes.
• Assist with recurring payroll reports and provide updates related to payroll activities as needed.• At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll independently.
• Experience supporting payroll for organizations with 101 to 500 employees.
• Working knowledge of payroll garnishments and required deductions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll data handling.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive employee information.
• Proficiency in processing payroll within established deadlines.
