Role Description
Moran Law has an immediate open position for a Law and Motion Attorney. The primary duties will include legal research, drafting motions, oppositions, ex parte applications, pre-trial and post-trial motions. Attorney may also assist in drafting Complaints and discovery.
Types of motions attorney will work on:
- Opposition to Petition to Compel Arbitration
- Opposition to Demurrer and Motion to Strike
- Oppositions to Motions for Summary Judgment
- Motions to Compel Discovery or Deposition
- Motions in Limine
- Ex Parte Applications
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in law and motion practice
- Experience in medical malpractice
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Admission to the California State Bar
- Experience in elder abuse and nursing home neglect is a plus
- Experience in healthcare law is a plus
- Bachelor's degree, JD
