This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist to support a busy retail pharmacy serving a high volume of customers. The ideal candidate is licensed in California with recent pharmacist experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment processing approximately 400–500 prescriptions daily. Familiarity with PioneerRx software is highly desirable, as the pharmacy has recently transitioned to this system.
Location: Yreka, CA
Schedule:
- Per Diem
- Hours from 9 AM to 6 PM
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications to customers
- Manage high-volume prescription processing while maintaining attention to detail
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize PioneerRx software to manage prescription data and inventory
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license
- Recent, relevant experience working as a pharmacist in a retail setting
- Comfortable handling high-pressure situations and a large prescription volume
- Proficiency or willingness to quickly learn PioneerRx software
