Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior IR/diagnostic imaging experience at a teaching hospital.

  • Interventional Radiology unit within an academic medical center
  • \n

  • Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts with variable start times (7 or 8 AM)
  • \n

  • Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
  • \n

  • Epic EMR used
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active CA RN license required
  • \n

  • BSN required
  • \n

  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • \n

  • Radiology and adult acute care experience required
  • \n

  • Experience with diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, procedural sedation, and pacemaker interrogation required
  • \n

  • Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history
  • \n

  • 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
  • \n

  • Preferred experience in ICU, ED, PACU, or another procedural area
  • \n

  • Radiology Imaging Nursing certification preferred
  • \n

  • PALS certification preferred
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Provide nursing care for adult patients undergoing interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures
  • \n

  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation and manage reversal agents as needed
  • \n

  • Perform pre- and post-procedure care, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response duties
  • \n

  • Maintain IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including starting and maintaining IVs
  • \n

  • Follow CDC standard precautions and isolation/PPE protocols
  • \n

  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
  • \n

  • All requested time off must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional time off requests accepted mid-contract, and none permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
  • \n

  • Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full work history for rehire eligibility review
  • \n

  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally not placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work on the same unit
  • \n
