Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Personal Trainer to provide personalized fitness coaching and lead small group and individual training sessions. In this role, you will assess clients’ fitness levels, create tailored exercise plans, and provide ongoing support and motivation to help clients reach their fitness goals. You will also play an active role in promoting training services, selling training packages, and contributing to the overall growth and success of our fitness programs. The ideal candidate will stay informed on the latest fitness trends, maintain necessary certifications, and ensure a high-quality training experience for all clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Training: Conduct 1:1 training sessions, including initial assessments, goal setting, and individualized exercise programming. Track client progress and adjust workout plans as necessary.
• Group Instruction: Facilitate small group and large group fitness classes, ensuring exercises are appropriate, engaging, and safe for all participants.
• Program Development: Develop and implement tailored fitness programs for clients based on their individual needs and goals. Provide ongoing adjustments and modifications to support progress and prevent injuries.
• Sales and Promotion: Promote and sell personal training packages, wellness programs, and gym memberships. Utilize persuasive techniques to convert inquiries into sales and retain current clients.
• Client Engagement: Provide educational guidance on health, nutrition, and lifestyle choices. Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term commitment.
• Community Building: Participate in gym events, workshops, and fitness seminars to promote programs, enhance member engagement, and build strong relationships within the fitness community.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment. Ensure gym equipment is in good condition and adhere to safety protocols.
• Policy Enforcement: Enforce gym policies and regulations regarding equipment use, safety, cancellations, and general conduct to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A post-secondary certificate, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Physiology) is preferred.

Certifications:

• Valid personal training certification from an accredited institution (e.g., NASM, ISSA, ACSM).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in personal training, group fitness instruction, and client management.
• Strong understanding of exercise science, biomechanics, and fitness program design.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire clients to reach their fitness goals.
• Ability to assess fitness levels and create customized workout programs.
• Proficiency in selling fitness services and packages.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is an in-person role at our Los Angeles facility. Personal Trainers must be flexible with their availability to accommodate client needs, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The position involves a combination of structured class schedules and dynamic client interactions.
