We are looking for a drywall installer for a property restoration company.
Pay Rate: $24.00 / hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation: Read blueprints and measure spaces to determine the required amount of wallboard and to avoid unnecessary material waste.
Installation: Measure, cut, and screw or nail drywall panels to wood or metal studs, and create cutouts for electrical outlets, vents, and plumbing.
Finishing: Apply joint compound, press paper or fiberglass tape over the joints, and smooth out imperfections.
Sanding: Sand dried compound and nail depressions to achieve a smooth, even surface suitable for paint or wallpaper.
Site Management: Clean work areas, remove damaged materials, and operate heavy lifting equipment or mechanical hoists when necessary.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), stand, bend, and work on ladders, scaffolding, or stilts for extended periods.
Technical Knowledge: Basic mathematical and carpentry skills to read blueprints and accurately cut angles and boards.
Tool Proficiency: Experience using utility knives, drywall saws, drills, sanders, and taping tools.
