Senior Accountant
Location: Anaheim, California

Compensation: $85,000–$115,000 annually

Position Summary
Our client is an established family-owned automotive service and retail organization, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple entities and locations.
The role is focused on general ledger accounting, financial close, reconciliations, inventory accounting, financial reporting and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller, CFO and accounting team while helping bring structure, accuracy and consistency to a busy multi-location environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general-ledger records across multiple entities or locations.
- Support financial statements, management reporting and audit requests.
- Review high-volume cash, inventory and account reconciliations.
- Provide oversight and support for AP and AR activity as needed.
- Support inventory accounting, COGS and variance investigation.
- Review accounting work and provide guidance to accounting team members.
- Work with the Controller and CFO on accounting priorities, controls and process improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong general-ledger, reconciliation and financial-close experience.
- Experience supporting multiple entities, locations or business units strongly preferred.
- Experience in automotive, retail, dealerships, distribution or another high-volume transactional environment is an asset.
- Previous experience reviewing, mentoring or leading accounting staff.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
- CPA or progress toward CPA is an asset.
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience is a strong asset.
