If you're an experienced CVICU RN with open heart recovery and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience, this is your opportunity to join a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care team.

This isn't a slow-paced ICU. You'll care for complex cardiovascular patients, recover fresh open-heart surgeries, and work alongside a collaborative team in an advanced critical care environment.

Position Details

• Position: RN – CVICU

• Location: St. Helena, California

• Contract: 13 Weeks

• Schedule:

  • Day Shift

  • 12-hour shifts

• Weekend Requirement: Yes

• Call: None

• Floating: Travelers float first when needed (primarily to the Heart & Vascular Unit; ED only if qualified)

What You'll Need

• Active California RN License

• Current BLS Certification

• Current ACLS Certification

• Recent CVICU experience

• Open Heart Recovery experience (Required)

• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience (Required)

• Cardiovascular critical care experience required

• BSN preferred

What You'll Do

• Recover and manage fresh open-heart surgery patients

• Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring

• Manage patients with IABP and other cardiac support devices

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and critical care interventions

• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiovascular surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams

• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions while maintaining accurate clinical documentation

• Deliver safe, evidence-based critical care in a high-acuity CVICU
