Regional Business Development Specialist

PublishedPublished: 6/14/2022

Job Description

About the role

\n

MIXUE is expanding its store network in the United States. This role sits at the front of that expansion. You will find, engage, and evaluate the people who will own and operate our stores, and you will carry those conversations from first contact through to a signed agreement.

\n

This is a two way selection. The candidates you speak with are deciding whether to commit their capital and their next several years to this brand, and we are deciding whether they are the right operator for a market. Your job is to make both sides of that judgment well informed.

\n

\n

What you will do

\n

Franchise partner acquisition

\n

● Identify and engage prospective franchise partners through direct outreach, referrals, and industry networking

\n

● Design and run campaigns to build a qualified pipeline, and own the health of that pipeline

\n

Candidate evaluation and selection

\n

● Conduct structured assessments and interviews with prospective partners

\n

● Refine and localize the qualification criteria based on what you observe in the market

\n

Deal process management

\n

● Manage the process from first inquiry through consultation, disclosure, negotiation, and signing

\n

● Keep records complete and current in our CRM so that every deal has a documented trail

\n

Market development

\n

● Use demographic and competitive data to support regional development plans

\n

\n

What we are looking for

\n

● Bachelor's degree or above

\n

● 1 to 3 years in business development, partnerships, sales, or a comparable role where you owned a pipeline and closed agreements. The industry does not matter. What matters is that you have taken a relationship from cold to signed

\n

● The ability to explain a complex commercial arrangement clearly to someone who is not a specialist, and to say no to a candidate who is not a fit

\n

● Comfort with numbers. You will read cost models and site data and be expected to reason about them, not just pass them along

\n

● Working proficiency across functions and willingness to adapt an approach to local conditions

\n

● Written and spoken fluency in English. Spanish or Mandarin is an advantage but not a requirement
