Sanitation Lead – Food Manufacturing
Location: Madera, CA
Pay: $22.00/hour + applicable shift differential
Job Type: Full-Time
PayCruit is seeking an experienced Sanitation Lead for a food manufacturing facility in Madera, CA. This is a hands-on working lead position responsible for coordinating daily sanitation activities while working alongside the sanitation team.
The ideal candidate has strong food manufacturing sanitation experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of food-safety and sanitation requirements. Sanitation Lead Agency Copy
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily sanitation assignments and priorities
- Work alongside the sanitation team cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and processing areas
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, inspect, and reassemble equipment
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to sanitation employees
- Inspect completed sanitation work and coordinate corrections as needed
- Follow GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, allergen-control, food-safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Safely handle sanitation chemicals and follow SDS requirements
- Perform titration/concentration testing and document results
- Complete sanitation and chemical documentation accurately

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of hands-on sanitation experience in food manufacturing or food processing
- At least 1 year of training, technical guidance, or daily work coordination experience
- Previous lead, trainer, or informal leadership experience
- Experience cleaning and sanitizing food-manufacturing equipment, including disassembly/reassembly
- Experience with sanitation chemicals, SDS information, and titration/concentration testing
- Knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, sanitation verification, and food-safety requirements
- Minimum 1 year of forklift/powered industrial truck experience

Schedule
Open availability for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts is required. Shifts are approximately 8–12 hours. Overtime, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and schedule changes may be required based on operational needs. Sanitation Lead Agency Copy
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, climb stairs/ladders, and work in wet, loud, dusty, hot, or cold manufacturing environments
