Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This role operates within a plastic injection molding facility, working with plastic parts produced by injection mold machines and preparing products for shipment. The Machine Operator handles repetitive production tasks such as cutting, trimming, labeling, and packing while maintaining quality standards and accurate records throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor injection mold machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
- Inspect parts and report any defects or quality issues immediately.
- Prep production materials throughout the day, including repetitive cutting, gripping, shaving, and trimming of plastic parts.
- Trim and cut excess plastic from parts to ensure smooth surfaces and compliance with specifications.
- Apply labels and stickers to products before stacking and palletizing.
- Pack finished products into boxes accurately and efficiently.
- Stack and organize products and materials in designated areas.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently as part of the production and packaging process.
- Keep accurate inventory of materials and finished products.
- Complete daily production paperwork and maintain records of activities throughout the shift.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Work effectively either independently or as part of a team to complete production tasks.
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift 5–20 lbs repetitively during production hours.
- Work in varying climate temperatures throughout all seasons within the facility.
Essential Skills
- Experience in general production, machine operation, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate plastic injection molding machines.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as cutting, trimming, labeling, and packing.
- Capability to lift 5–20 lbs repetitively and perform continuous standing, walking, and bending.
- Attention to detail to identify defects and ensure products meet specifications.
- Basic inventory tracking skills and ability to keep accurate counts.
- Ability to complete and maintain daily production paperwork throughout the shift.
- Comfort working in all climate temperatures within the facility across all seasons.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet production goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience with plastic injection molding processes.
- Experience in material handling within a production or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with extrusion, stacking, labeling, cutting, trimming, and machine operation.
- Comfort working in a multilingual environment, including a majority Spanish-speaking workforce.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced production environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in a plastic injection molding facility with a production-focused setting. You may work independently or alongside a team to complete tasks, collaborating with a workforce where many employees are Spanish-speaking. The environment involves standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift, as well as working in varying climate temperatures across all seasons. Jeans or long pants are required, and steel-toed shoes are mandatory for safety. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to support a safe and compliant work environment.
