Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to clarify documentation and support accurate diagnosis coding (HCC coding).
- Educate healthcare providers on clinical documentation best practices, risk adjustment, and the impact of documentation on quality measures and reimbursement.
- Analyze documentation for consistency, completeness, and accuracy, making recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to Clinical Documentation Integrity and Risk Adjustment.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceRequired:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- 3+ years of experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity, Risk Adjustment, HCC Coding, or Documentation Improvement.
Preferred:
- NP license.
