Position Summary
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will provide therapeutic treatments designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and overall functional independence. The PTA will play a vital role in helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities

Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist

Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions

Monitor resident progress and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist

Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress toward goals

Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members

Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and safety recommendations

Maintain compliance with all facility, state, federal, and professional standards
Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for helping others achieve their highest level of function and independence
