We need a part time cost estimator with utility or infrastructure experience.
Strong knowledge of CSI standards-rail experience is a plus.We are looking for proactive, adaptable and motivated Cost estimator with 3 years of experience overseeing multiple complex projects in the electric utility industry with proven record of working independently with minimal supervision.
Part time, could be 5 hours a week and 15 hours other weeks
Critical Tasks and Responsibilities• Responsible for executing all Project Controls activities for assigned projects, programs, or areas of responsibility. 30/60/90 100% design• Work under direct supervision of lead project controls specialist or manager • Collaborate with and obtain data/information from various project stakeholders (e.g. project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members)• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with project or program stakeholders. • Manage service levels with varying degrees of complexity and requirements appropriate to the position. • Meet performance goals set forth in an effective and safe manner• Required to make day-to-day, routine decisions based on company/department’s policies, guidelines, and work instructions• Demonstrated expertise in Project controls and/or project management • Direction from direct supervisor and/or guidance from direct supervisor, project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members Education• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management preferred· Two or more years’ experience in cost controls/management · Demonstrated knowledge, ability or experience in Project Management, Project Controls, and/or Construction Management, or equivalent experience. · Utility construction/CA regulated/regulatory/EPC experience desirable · Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Solutions application · Demonstrated ability or knowledge in Project Controls software (e.g. Project, Primavera and Contract Manager)
