Position Summary:
To receive, verify, store, process and distribute merchandise, finished goods and other merchandise with the company and to final customer.
Job Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned
- Maybe required to provide guidance and training to staff, accomplish daily tasks, process all merchandise received to and shipped from Jerry Leigh, according to policies and procedures outlined.
- May need to drive and deliver goods as required/permitted.
- Communicate directly with other departments to clarify instructions and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Must be able to use scanners, sort and segregate orders.
- Write clear and concise manual manifests and detailed information.
- Responsible for packaging garments into boxes including but not limited to the below :
o Labeling
o Ticketing (150 garments per hour)
o Tagging
o Bagging
o Changing hangers
o Assembling boxes
o Pallet wrapping
o Re-packing
- Loading and unloading of containers using pallet rider and forklift on occasion if trained and certified on machinery.
- Must be able to work extra hours based on work demand, including weekends.
- Actively participate in cycle counting and physical inventory activities and any other warehouse departments where workload is assigned for.
- Provide fluent communication to Lead Material Handler and Supervisor on any issues or progress on tasks.
- Fold, tag, catch or label large amounts of apparel.
- Must be detail oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and or walk for over 95% of shift time.
- Able to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
- Must be able to lift, pull or push 30-50 pounds and climb up and down a rolling ladder.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
- 0 - 2 years’ experience in the department with exemplary record of performance.
