About the Role
We are hiring a Flagger (Traffic Control) to support active construction work zones and help ensure safe traffic flow around fiber installation projects. This position plays a key role in protecting both field crews and the public. The ideal candidate is alert, safety-focused, physically capable, and communicates clearly in fast-changing outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using signs, hand signals, barricades, and other control devices
- Set up, adjust, and remove traffic control equipment based on site requirements
- Monitor work zones for safety compliance and report hazards or concerns promptly
- Coordinate with crews and supervisors to support safe, efficient traffic movement
- Maintain and properly use PPE and traffic control gear
- Contribute to a culture of trust, integrity, and teamwork
Qualifications
- 6+ months of traffic control or related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work outdoors in all weather
- Basic knowledge of traffic control practices and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
