We have an immediate opportunity for a Fleet Manager for the San Bernadino County. This individual will oversee vehicle & heavy equipment acquisition and maintenance. The ideal candidate must have proven management and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Previous experience as a Fleet Supervisor or Manager overseeing vehicle and heavy equipment acquisition in the utility or construction industry
- Ability to manage tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment logistics for the department, including procurement, maintenance, and transportation
- Coordinate equipment mobilization/demobilization and maintain utilization of equipment
- Ability to develop an annual overhead and equipment budget
- Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors and interval customers
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
Education and Experience:
- Excellent organizational and management skills required
- Must have computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Strong negotiation skills are required
- 5 plus years of experience working in the utility/construction fleet-related business required
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
