Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available for an immediate start in the Sacramento/El Dorado Hills area. This contract role, lasting approximately 8-13 weeks, offers the chance to take full responsibility for pharmacy operations within a well-established retail setting.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Sundays: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve issues.
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, maintaining efficient workflow.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures of the pharmacy.
- Assume complete Pharmacist in Charge duties, including regulatory paperwork and compliance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California pharmacist license in-hand is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience; prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge is highly preferred.
- Certified to administer immunizations.
- Holds a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system is required.
