Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience working with students with varying abilities and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Knowledge of current best practices in special education
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials to diverse learning styles
- Collaborative mindset for working alongside general education teachers and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with IEPs
- Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multi-disciplinary teams about student performance and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional training
- Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate various disabilities and learning differences
