Position: Bilingual Technical Support Specialist
Location: Onsite – Lathrop, CA
Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Employment Type/Duration: Seasonal, November through April; 3 shift options available
Introduction
The client is hiring for an entry-level IT support role in Lathrop, CA. No prior IT experience is required. The client will train you on the technical side, so this is a strong opportunity for someone with a corporate customer service or call center background who has been looking to break into IT. You'll start by leaning on your service and communication skills while the client builds your technical support skills on the job.
Required Qualifications
- Professional corporate customer service or call center experience (fast food or retail experience does not qualify)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, phone- and ticket-based support environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with end users
Preferred Qualifications
- Any prior exposure to IT, help desk, or technical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ticketing systems
- Interest in growing into a long-term IT support career
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with incoming IT requests via phone, tickets, and help desk orders
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport and solving issues for end users
- Test fixes to confirm problems are fully resolved
- Track, document, and record help desk requests and issues within the system
- Learn to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software problems, including installations, updates, and configurations
- Perform follow-up calls to confirm client satisfaction with resolutions
- Deliver hands-on desktop support for end users as skills develop
- Perform other related duties as assigned
