DSP Algorithms Engineer – Senior/Lead | El Segundo, CA
Position Overview: Seeking Senior or Lead DSP Algorithms Engineers to develop advanced RF and digital satellite communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF and digital satellite communication systems.
- Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal-processing algorithms.
- Perform waveform development, performance analysis, and trade studies.
- Support spacecraft integration, testing, and in-orbit operations.
- Assist with HDL-level design and verification.
- Perform systems engineering, requirements, and architecture development.
- Lead engineering teams and IR&D activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital communications and signal-processing theory.
- Experience with DSP algorithms, including equalization, Viterbi/turbo coding, channel estimation, filter design, and resampling.
- 3+ years of experience with MATLAB or Simulink.
- 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
- 1+ year of experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience leading engineering teams.
- 14+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
