Job Summary
A busy, stable construction company is seeking an HR Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in the Escondido, CA market, supporting on-site operations in Mira Mesa. This role is ideal for an HR professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who enjoys handling both Leave of Absence administration and Employee Relations in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
The HR Specialist will be part of a collaborative team that values responsive communication, practical problem solving, and strong internal support for employees and managers. Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee Leave of Absence processes, including documentation, tracking, communication, and compliance follow-up.
- Support Employee Relations matters by assisting with investigations, coaching managers, documenting issues, and helping resolve workplace concerns.
- Provide HR guidance to employees and supervisors regarding policies, procedures, leave eligibility, workplace expectations, and employee concerns.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidential handling of employee information and case documentation.
- Partner with HR leadership and operations teams to support compliance, consistency, and positive employee experiences across the organization.
- Assist with general HR projects and administrative needs in a busy construction environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $30 to $35 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work arrangement: On-site.
