This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist skilled in hospital pharmacy operations, ready to take on a travel role within a 250-bed hospital setting. Located in Northern California, this position offers a dynamic work schedule and the chance to contribute to excellent patient care through clinical expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technician activities
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to patient care when applicable
  • Utilize pharmacy IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell for medication management

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Variable days and afternoon shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California pharmacist license required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in a hospital setting
  • Willingness to travel and relocate within Northern California
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude
  • Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency preferred but not mandatory
