**Hybrid (depends on project(s) supporting; 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)**
Top 3-5 Must Have Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development with a focus on data acquisition and test or process control systems.
• Experience in PLC programming with emphasis on Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs.
• Strong programming skills in LabVIEW or equivalent; familiarity with additional languages is a plus.
• Experience integrating test instruments into control systems, such as power analyzers, power supplies, pressure scanners, temperature scanners, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators.
Software Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team focused on developing Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS) for test stands and test facilities supporting aerospace hardware testing. Familiarity with instrument drivers and test equipment
integration using LabVIEW is preferred. The candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing applications that collect and control data in various test environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate theminto technical specifications for software development.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and compliance with requirements.
• Design and implement networking solutions for real-time data sharing and communication between multiple controllers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any software or hardware issues during the development and deployment phases.
• Document software design, development/build processes, installation, and user manuals for end-users.
• Reverse-engineer existing software on legacy systems to rebuild solutions using current-generation software and hardware.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong programming skills in LabVIEW or similar to software programs; familiarity with additional languages is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts and experience in data sharing protocols for multiple real-time controllers.
• Experience integrating test instruments into control systems, such as power analyzers, power supplies, pressure scanners, temperature scanners, flow meters, pressure transmitters, and actuators.
• Ability to prototype and run your own tests, including experimental setup, hardware configuration, and software implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with additional programming tools/environments:
o MATLAB/Simulink
o C/C++/
o Python
o LabWindows/CVI
• Familiarity with NI SystemLink, TestStand, or VeriStand.
• Experience with version control tools such as Bitbucket, Git, or SVN, and
requirements tracking systems.
• Mechatronics work experience
