Field Service Technician – Technology Integration Division
Covered 6 is looking to hire Field Technicians for our Technology Integration Division!
If you have experience in IP Camera systems, Alarm systems, Access Control, and other Security Systems, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty doing the physical work that makes these systems come to life.
General Summary
Our Field Service Technician is responsible for on-site installation, service, maintenance, warranty, and repair of various electronic security systems — including access control, video surveillance, and related technologies.
This position requires both technical expertise and hands-on physical labor. You will often work outdoors and perform manual tasks such as pulling and terminating cable, trenching, installing conduit, and mounting or securing hardware and equipment.
Essential Functions
- Perform installation, service, and maintenance of access control, cameras, gates, and other security-related equipment.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including pulling cable, digging or trenching for conduit, running pipe, and mounting or installing heavy components.
- Provide customer support and end-user equipment operation training.
- Configure and test all equipment before installation.
- Communicate and document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Work with networking systems (IP addressing, computer networks, and configuration).
- Assist with project estimating or planning as needed.
- Service and maintain automated gates with access control.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to work in high-security environments.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor.
Preferred Knowledge
- Camera installations and troubleshooting.
- Low voltage standards and wiring practices.
- General construction and mechanical processes.
- CCTV, VMS, and access control integration.
- Network programming and framework understanding.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in a variety of conditions.
- Must be willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks such as trenching, conduit installation, and running cabling in ceilings, attics, and underground environments.
