We are searching for a Project/Senior Accountant to join their team.
Position Summary
You’ll own job cost accounting and the monthly WIP process for active construction projects, working closely with project managers and the finance team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain job cost reports and review costs for accuracy across active projects
- Prepare and update monthly WIP schedules
- Calculate percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and related adjustments
- Review project budgets, committed costs, and forecasts with project managers
- Support billing, retainage, and change order tracking
- Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Help prepare for audits and support financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Experience in job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Sage 300 (Construction) experience is a big plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work with project teams and manage multiple deadlines
