ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define and compile customized Linux distributions for company products based on application requirements, including integrating required packages as part of distribution.
- Document build process for repetition by outside entities.
- Devise and implement security strategies based on application requirements and current threats.
- Troubleshoot integration and performance issues.
- Integrate and test drivers for peripheral hardware.
- General Linux support.

QUALIFICATIONS
\n
- \n
- Experience with kernel development and embedded Linux bootloaders.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux, device drivers, USB and TCP/IP.
- Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting tools (sh, ksh, bash).
- Experience with Java installation and configuration on Linux systems.
- Database and web services administration (Apache, MySQL and Tomcat).
- Strong understanding of LinuxSecurity.
- Java programming experience a plus but not required.

EDUCATION

- 2-5 years Linux support/system administration experiences.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent

SALARY RANGE

- Based on experience.
- $122,574.40 to $129,001.60 per year
