The need arises as several teachers are currently out on leave. While substitutes are covering classroom instruction, your expertise is needed to help with crucial behind-the-scenes responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering and organizing student data for special education documentation
- Conducting formal assessments and evaluations in accordance with IEP timelines
- Writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress reports
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaboration sessions, as required
- Supporting compliance with state and federal education requirements
- Communicating clearly with students, staff, and families
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Valid California special education credential (required)
- Experience working in special education, ideally with elementary (TK-2) students
- Strong skills in assessment administration and IEP development
- Ability to work on-site in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
- Flexible availability; open to candidates seeking full-time or part-time hours
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
