Measurement Technician - New Construction Homes & Apartments

As a measurement technician, you will travel by company car throughout Southern California to new home and apartment construction locations to take on-site wall measurements, verify the measurements to the cabinet drawings, then confirm plumbing locations and soffit heights --- all to prepare for a successful cabinetry installation.
Requirements, Skills, and Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
- Valid CA driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Good driving habits.
- Safely and confidently drive the streets and freeways of Southern California.
- Follow California traffic laws (vehicles are equipped with GPS and driving behavior monitoring).
- Regular & Punctual attendance - work is appointment and production based.
- Skillfully use and read a tape measure.
- Ability to visualize a finished and installed product from production drawings.
- Identify and respond to a hazardous job site situation.
- Ability to identify a problem, then consider and plan a solution.
- Great customer service attitude: professional and courteous with customers, other trades, and coworkers.
- Communicate in English as it relates to the job to walk job site with superintendent, builder personnel, or other trades.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Conscientious and accurate when recording measurements and verifying drawings.
- Good numerical ability.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Read and interpret common business correspondence.
- Basic computer, tablet, and cell skills.
- Sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, reach, walk, stand, talk, hear, speak, read, navigate construction site uneven terrain; use fingers, hands, arms.
- Moderate noise level.
- Work environment temperature is dependent upon current weather conditions.
Pay: The wage range is $18 to $21 per hour depending on experience.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Start time varies but may be as early as 5am. Typically scheduled 8 hours per day but may vary up to 12 hours per day depending on work location. Daily and weekend overtime may be a frequent requirement.

Como técnico de medición, viajará en automóvil de la empresa por todo el sur de California a nuevas ubicaciones de construcción de casas y apartamentos para tomar medidas de paredes en el sitio, verificar las mediciones según los planos del gabinete, luego confirmar las ubicaciones de plomería y las alturas del sofito --- todo para prepararse para una instalación exitosa de gabinetes.
Requisitos, habilidades y responsabilidades (no todo incluido):
- Licencia de conducir válida de CA.
- Historial de manejo limpio.
- Buenos hábitos de conducción.
- Conduzca con seguridad y confianza por las calles y autopistas del sur de California.
- Siga las leyes de tránsito de California (los vehículos están equipados con GPS y monitoreo del comportamiento de conducción).
- Asistencia regular y puntual: el trabajo se basa en citas y producción.
