The $80 million non-profit performing arts organization has three divisions: TMC Arts, TMC Ops and TMC Business Services. TMC Arts, The Music Center’s programming engine, provides year-round programming inside The Music Center’s four theatres, which include Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum; on Jerry Moss Plaza; outside at Gloria Molina Grand Park, a 12-acre adjacent green space; and in schools and neighborhoods all over Los Angeles County. TMC Arts presents world-class dance with Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, free and low-cost public concerts and events, as well as K–12 arts learning programs, workshops, performances, interactive experiences and special events. TMC Ops manages the theatres, Jerry Moss Plaza and Gloria Molina Grand Park, which comprise $3 billion in county assets, on behalf of the County of Los Angeles. TMC Business Services includes Advancement, Human Resources, Finance, Tech Services, and Marketing and Communications. The Music Center is also home to four renowned resident companies—Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles Master Chorale, LA Opera and LA Phil.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Producing Administrator will manage and implement critical components of TMC Arts programs, with an emphasis on cross-division contract management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilizing the established TMC contract language and procedures for legal approvals; draft and execute templatized agreements across the division. Departments served will be Spotlight, Gloria Molina Grand Park, Civic Strategies & Partnerships, Digital Innovation Initiative, TMC Arts Admin (including Learning & evaluation), Arts Learning and Producing.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of organization-specific contractual requirements, including tax obligations, insurance requirements, county-specific terms and conditions, and other business-mandated provisions.
- Support the Business Manager with negotiation and creation of complex agreements.
- Support the Business Manager with drafting and executing simple performance union agreements and HR/payroll paperwork needed to support those contracts.
- Partner with TMC Arts Program Managers and internal departments to ensure contractual terms align with the project scope, operational needs, and organizational requirements.
- Create, code, process, and track payment requests for contracts administered.
- Submit Tulip Insurance requests.
- Collect, track, and manage COIs and accompanying waivers
- Communicate anticipated new hires in a timely fashion to Payroll.
- Properly submit new hire packets to Payroll
- Communicate anticipated new hires in a timely fashion to HR.
- Properly complete and submit I9 paperwork for applicable new hires.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of arts programming and producing practices with the ability to apply these to project management, artist engagement, and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience with performing arts institutions and administrative practices, program management, artist/services, contract management, contract negotiation, and institutional finance procedures.
- Strong project tracking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, anticipate obstacles, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Relevant project management experience.
- Proficiency in technology and technology-based communications, as well as full proficiency in computer use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required. Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat for document editing is beneficial.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation;
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends, including holidays;

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and strong follow-through skills are highly preferred.
- Able to think through complex projects and use logic and reason to develop and propose solutions.

- Ability to build partnerships across departments/teams, recognize organizational patterns and challenges, and contribute to strategic solutions.

SALARY
This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive annual salary range of $62,000 –$75,000 along with a comprehensive total rewards package. SCHEDULE
This position is scheduled for 35 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours may be adjusted as necessary to accommodate special events and business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends. The Music Center currently operates under a hybrid work model, combining remote work with designated onsite team days. Onsite, in-person attendance is required to support live events. This work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs and the responsibilities of the position.
