We are seeking an experienced Printing Press Operator to operate and maintain offset presses and related finishing equipment in a production print shop. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with press setup, plate making, paper and ink selection, finishing equipment, quality control, and basic press maintenance. This role is 100% onsite and the pay is $30.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate offset presses to produce forms, brochures, booklets, envelopes, letterhead, maps, covers, and other printed materials.
• Set up presses, prepare plates, select paper and ink, and make necessary printing adjustments.
• Monitor production and print quality to ensure accurate finished materials.
• Operate finishing equipment for cutting, trimming, folding, collating, drilling, stapling, and binding.
• Clean, adjust, and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on printing equipment.
• Operate copy and reproduction equipment as needed.
• Maintain production records, work logs, supplies, and inventory.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding print specifications and production needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating offset printing/duplicating and related paper-processing equipment.
• Knowledge of offset presses, paper stocks, inks, plate preparation, and finishing processes.
• Experience with routine equipment maintenance and minor troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, organization, and production deadlines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
All employment is contingent on candidates providing at least two positive professional references from prior managers.
