The Warehouse Department Manager oversees operations across various warehouse types including Distribution Centers, Cold Storage Facilities, and Cross-docking Facilities. This role involves managing a medium to large team of 11 to over 30 employees, ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and order processing while maintaining performance standards. The manager will also interact moderately with external vendors and may occasionally travel between sites to support operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Monitor team performance to achieve operational efficiency and meet targets
- Oversee order processing and inventory control
- Lead and develop a medium to large team of warehouse staff
- Coordinate with external vendors to maintain supply chain fluidity
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Support site operations through occasional travel and cross-site collaboration
