Job Description

LaborMAX Staffing provides workforce solutions across general labor, skilled trades, construction, manufacturing, warehousing, industrial, and restoration industries. Our Modesto team connects local businesses with dependable workers while creating employment opportunities in the community. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Staffing Specialist to join our team. This fast-paced role combines recruiting, customer service, sales, onboarding, dispatching, and branch operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, manages multiple priorities effectively, communicates confidently, and contributes to branch growth through sales and business development.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and dispatch qualified employees.
Provide excellent service to clients, applicants, and employees.
Conduct sales activities, including cold calls, follow-ups, emails, prospecting, and customer visits.
Build relationships with current and prospective customers and identify new business opportunities.
Document sales activity, customer communication, and follow-ups in the CRM daily.
Match employees to job orders based on skills, experience, and client requirements.
Complete new-hire paperwork, orientations, and compliance documentation.
Communicate with clients and employees regarding attendance, performance, and staffing needs.
Assist with payroll, timecard verification, invoicing, and collection follow-up.
Support workplace safety, PPE requirements, and customer site visits.
Contribute to branch recruiting, retention, sales, customer service, and growth goals.

Required Qualifications

Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Comfort making outbound sales calls and speaking with prospective customers.
Professional, dependable, and customer-service focused.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems.
Reliable transportation for customer and jobsite visits.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of staffing, recruiting, HR, sales, or customer service experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
