Qualifications:
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist licensure is required
- Prior experience working within school settings strongly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with teams, students, and families
- Commitment to travel between different schools within the district as needed
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to different school environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students PreK-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to documentation, and provide recommendations for classroom strategies
- Travel to assigned schools within the district, delivering services and support in multiple settings
- Monitor, document, and report student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes
- Stay current with best practices, state guidelines, and new developments in the field
