Registered Nurse - NICU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level III NICU. Earn $2,103–$2,189 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a night shift (3x12s), 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including care planning and coordination with the care team.
- Administer medications, manage intravenous therapies, and monitor physiological changes in neonates.
- Support neonates requiring ventilation or respiratory support devices and manage ventilatory equipment as needed.
- Perform routine and specialized NICU procedures, maintain indwelling lines and drains, and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Educate and support families, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and coordinate care with ancillary staff within scope of practice.
- Cross-train and float to Pediatrics as assigned, and adapt care to developmental and environmental needs of neonates.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or equivalent compact license as applicable
- Education: ADN or equivalent required; BSN preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent NICU experience; Level III NICU experience required
- Additional: Neonatal transport experience and prior delivery attendance for neonatal resuscitation preferred; Epic experience required; RNC or CCRN certification preferred
- Other: Ability to work night shifts and cross-train/float to Pediatrics as needed
