Job Description:

RN II position in the Emergency Department responsible for providing age-appropriate care service to a diverse patient population including child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals. The role requires comprehensive nursing assessments and the ability to manage emergency situations promptly and professionally while maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:
\n

- Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner.
- Maintains accurate nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
- Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the patient's age and clinical condition.
- Monitors hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interprets the results.
- Performs head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments per policy.
- Prepares, administers, monitors, and discontinues IV fluids.
- Maintains professional behavior and appearance while on hospital grounds.

Requirements:

- Meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and all other regulatory agencies.
- Meets charge nurse expectations as assigned.
- Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and interpret relative to his age-specific needs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan.
- Performs duties and innovations as assigned willingly.
