\n Role Description

\n
\nThis is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant role based in Santa Paula, CA. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys by drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and forms. \n
\n
\nDaily responsibilities include managing case files, maintaining calendars and deadlines, scheduling appointments and court appearances, and coordinating communications with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. \n
\n
\nThe role also involves handling administrative tasks such as data entry, file management (physical and electronic), and preparing materials for meetings and hearings. \n
\n
\nThe Legal Assistant will help ensure accurate documentation, timely case progress, and responsive client service.\n

\n Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of law and legal procedures, with the ability to understand case documents and legal terminology.
  • \n

  • Skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal correspondence and filings.
  • \n

  • Strong communication abilities for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and other stakeholders clearly and professionally.
  • \n

  • Administrative assistance experience, including calendar management, scheduling, file organization, and data entry.
  • \n

  • Experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.
  • \n

  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling sensitive information and deadlines.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with office software and legal practice management tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, case management systems).
  • \n

  • Ability to work on-site, prioritize multiple tasks, and support a busy legal practice in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

  • Relevant education such as a paralegal certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience in a legal setting.
