At SkillSetGroup, we are partnering with a client in Irvine, CA to hire a hands-on technician who brings medical device savvy, electrical know‑how, and a passion for getting complex systems right. In this role, you will commission, configure, repair, troubleshoot, and test medical diagnostic systems so clinicians can rely on them when it matters most.

A day in the life

8:00 AM — You start with a system build, following technical work instructions and drawings to assemble electromechanical components with precision.

Mid‑morning — You configure hardware and software, run functional tests, and log results with strong attention to detail.

Afternoon — You diagnose issues down to the electrical/electronic component level, perform repairs, validate fixes, and update the ERP/MRP records.

End of day — You collaborate with quality to ensure every unit meets specification before release.

What you will take on

• Commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, and final test of medical diagnostic systems
• Hands-on electromechanical assembly using standard tools and electronic components
• Accurate documentation and transaction updates within ERP/MRP systems
• Close coordination with quality to uphold product standards

Must-haves

• Strong background in electrical systems and both hardware/software interactions
• Proven experience repairing electronic devices in the medical equipment/device industry
• Strong technical experience; an electrical degree and certification is a must
• 2–3 years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, and electromechanical systems, ideally in medical device or aerospace environments
• Ability to read and follow detailed technical instructions and schematics
• Experience using hand tools and working with electronic components
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn ERP systems; ERP system knowledge and logistics exposure is a big plus
• Strong attention to detail

Role details
